White on White

White on white today although I enjoyed making this card I tried several layouts before settling on this one, loads of dies including Marianne Spellbinder Tonic and Tattered Lace. Crafter's Companion embossing folder.

We've had some lovely warm spells with a little rain over the past couple of days so have been busy in the garden and cutting up some of the huge pile of logs we had delivered at the end of last year.

Also been flat hunting with our younger son in Aberdeen, at the moment he spends on average between 4 and 5 hours a day travelling,he's done this for the past 2 years and has decided he's had enough . He gets the keys next week Aberdeen commands quite high rents and he will be £800 a month for rent and council tax alone, a helping hand will definitely be required. It is a beautiful flat and in a quiet area.

Once Upon A Time

With a son and daughter-in-law who are Disney daft I had to pick a Disney theme for this weeks challenge at CD Sunday which is Once Upon a Time. Vicky collects Jim Shore ornaments and I gave her this one last Christmas, and will probably give them this card for their first wedding anniversary.

All the papers are from Papermania's  Digital Designer CD Rom apart from the lilac one which is from Nitwit Collections. The image is from Disney Clipart and is for personal use only.
The embellishments are all from my stash.

Please pop over to the  challenge site to see all the wonderful creations there, then join in.

A CAS card today which I took ages to colour,( with Promarkers ) adding the colour a little at a time  and I am fairly pleased with the result. The digi is from Power Poppy they have the best range of digital flowers I have seen on any site. A ribbon and bow to finish.

Spent yesterday in Aberdeen flat hunting with younger son, He is fed up spending 3-4 hours a day travelling to and from work and has decided that it is time to make the move. I will miss him, the house will be so empty, hubby is devastated they spend quite a lot of time together and he is dreading him moving. He's not away yet though and has several viewings lined up for next week as well.

Mouse Christmas Tree

This cute image is from Joanna Sheen House Mouse Triple CD Rom and the papers from Nitwit Collections , lots of glitter and frantage around the edges to give texture and sparkle. Absolutely miserable here today it hasn't stopped raining for about 36 hours and the ground is saturated not weather for the garden. So had a play with some images I had already printed .

December the 25th

Must get a move on with my Christmas cards I have been slow at getting down to them this year. one done today.
Thank you for all the kind comments left by those that follow my blog, I really appreciate them.

I had a day in Aberdeen on Friday shopping then a movie then dinner with my elder son. I had a lovely day the film was based on the book  Me Before You by Jo Jo Moyes, and was a rel weepy the tears were streaming down my face near the end. The cinema was very quiet at the  13.15 showing but not a dry eye in the house.

Good morning and welcome to my first post as a member of the CD Sunday design team I am both excited and a bit nervous especially as this challenge No images or photographs is a bit outside my comfort zone.

I printed off 2 designs in 3 different colours from the Papermania Digital Designer Cd cut out hexagons and layered them onto card to create my background then added a sentiment from TLC 2 ribbons and a butterfly and it was done.

Do visit the challenge at CD Sunday and see the teams cards and please join in .

Just for Fun

I saw this image on the QKR Stampede site and thought it would be ideal for a fun card for my elder son to give to his dad. When Douglas was young hubby took him to see Babe and this reminded me of both that film and the book Animal Farm. That was the first time they had gone to the pictures on their own so it is an occasion that they both remember well.
